Terms & Conditions – Tambula Nnange

By making a booking with Tambula Nnange, you enter into a binding agreement with us. Your reservation and payment constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. Any changes to these terms must be made in writing by an authorized officer of Tambula Nnange. These conditions apply to all services we provide, and in the event of any conflict between these Terms and information provided elsewhere (brochures, website, or email), these Terms shall prevail.

Please read these Terms carefully. By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to booking.
 

1. Reservations & Bookings

1.1 Tambula Nnange offers safaris, tours, transportation, accommodation, and related travel services in Uganda and East Africa in partnership with independent suppliers.

1.2 While we strive to ensure all itinerary information is accurate, we cannot be held responsible for errors or changes made by third parties.

1.3 Full legal names, passport details, and nationality are required for all bookings involving flights or permits (e.g., gorilla or chimpanzee permits). Any additional charges from third parties for corrections will be passed to the guest.

1.4 Special requests (dietary needs, allergies, accessibility requirements, etc.) must be communicated at the time of booking. We will forward requests to suppliers but cannot guarantee fulfillment.

1.5 All trips are subject to availability until confirmed in writing. Early booking is recommended due to limited lodge and permit availability.

1.6 Changes to confirmed bookings will incur additional fees where applicable. Tambula Nnange will endeavor to accommodate requests when feasible.

1.7 We reserve the right to adjust itineraries, accommodations, or services due to unforeseen circumstances and will inform clients promptly.

1.8 Reservations may be canceled if payment terms are not met. We are not responsible for lost reservations due to non-payment.
 

2. Prices & Payment

2.1 Unless stated otherwise, quoted prices include accommodation, specified meals, park fees, ground transportation, English-speaking guides, and bottled water during safari activities.

2.2 Items not included: international flights, visas, insurance, gratuities, personal expenses, beverages not included in the itinerary, optional activities, or medical costs. Optional experiences may be arranged for an extra charge.

2.3 Prices are subject to change until confirmed in writing. Currency fluctuations or supplier cost changes may affect final prices.

2.4 Payment Terms:

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the tour cost plus any permit fees is required to secure your booking.

  • Final payment is due four weeks prior to departure unless otherwise agreed.

  • Bookings made within 42 days of departure must be paid in full.

  • Payments may be made via bank transfer, VISA (5% service fee applies), or cash. Traveler’s cheques are not accepted.

2.5 Notes used for payments in Uganda must meet local currency standards (preferably $50–$100 bills, undamaged, and printed after 2009).

3. Cancellations & Refunds

By Traveler:

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Fees are applied as follows:

    • 60–30 days before arrival: 30% of total cost

    • 29–14 days before arrival: 70% of total cost

    • 13–7 days before arrival: 90% of total cost

    • Within 7 days: 100% of total cost

  • Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another traveler with our assistance.

By Tambula Nnange:

  • We may cancel or modify trips due to insufficient payment, force majeure, safety concerns, or other unforeseen events.

  • Alternative arrangements or refunds will be provided where possible.

  • Tambula Nnange is not responsible for costs incurred due to cancellations by other service providers or travel outside of our arranged services.

4. Safari Execution & Conduct

4.1 Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Guests must follow guide and ranger instructions.

4.2 Accommodation is generally twin/double rooms, tents, or bandas. Single rooms may require a supplement.

4.3 Transport and guides are assigned based on group size and itinerary. Vehicles are maintained in good condition, but delays or breakdowns may occur due to road conditions.

4.4 Guests must adhere to safety rules. Tambula Nnange reserves the right to remove any guest whose behavior endangers themselves or others, or disrupts the trip. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

5. Complaints & Feedback

5.1 We aim to provide exceptional service. Please notify your guide or local representative immediately of any issues to allow us to address them promptly.

5.2 Unresolved issues must be submitted in writing within 30 days of trip completion, including booking references and details. Failure to do so may limit our ability to resolve complaints.

6. Liability

6.1 Tambula Nnange selects suppliers carefully but cannot accept responsibility for errors, omissions, or negligence of third-party providers.

6.2 We are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to belongings, or costs arising from delays, strikes, natural disasters, government actions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

6.3 Guests are responsible for passports, visas, permits, health precautions, and medical insurance.

6.4 We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and theft.

7. Health & Accessibility

7.1 Guests must disclose any medical conditions, reduced mobility, or special needs at booking. We may impose restrictions for safety reasons.

7.2 Personal medical devices or assistance are the responsibility of the guest.

7.3 Some trips may involve uneven terrain or long periods of travel. Guests with health concerns should consult a doctor prior to booking.

8. Behavior

8.1 Abusive, aggressive, or disruptive behavior toward staff, other guests, or property may result in removal from the trip without refund.

8.2 Guests are responsible for damages they cause and must reimburse affected parties.
